How I Won a Fellowship to Write
The fellowship is something that really kickstarted a lot of, you know, what would become your career. So I'd love to talk about how that came to be and how you even found out about that. At the beginning of my senior year in college, I went to Kit Read and who I'd already been studying with. She was kind of depressed because she'd like shown me so many paths. And then I realized that she was right. But I was polishing this novel that had helped me learn how to write novels, but wasn't good.
