In 1973 Henry Kissinger wanted to give Chile a little dose of freedom. The US kept supporting Pinochet with Kissinger as the Secretary of State until 1977. So what actually brought down Pinochet's dictatorship? Freedom of information and education. Once the truth was exposed it all came crumbling down like a house of cards. In the end the truth will always prevail even in the face of the mighty United States government.
