How to Get More Attention in Front of More People
Advertisers who don't understand the benefit of focus, want mass. They'll take it all gives them, ultimately more impact at the bottom. What that pushes us to do is dumb it down. It means making it so that people can snack on it, giving it to them at a glance. And hence begins a race to the bottom. If we define bottom as simple and easy and direct and short and glib, then attention will keep fleeing. That ever cheapening our culture.
