There are a lot of very sophisticated technologies and algorithms that would like us to be objects. But then on the other hand, we've come to realize I've always loved this Bill Gates quote: Most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year and underestimate what they can accomplished in 10 years. And you point out how critical it is that we visualize our future selves. That ability to visualize ourselves actually turns out to be extremely important.
