CHAPTER

Grief Is a Difficult Experience

The death of one's, ones spouse is the most stressful event for people that they undergo in their lives. By grieving, we are a, sometimes, i position to reassess and rebuild our practical identities. We discover or identify, new sets of concerns and commitments that we didn't have before. You have to figure new concerns and commitments to serve as th successors to the ones thatt your spouse made sense of for you. So grief seems, on the one hand, to feel really bad, but it's also deeply human, something that we need to do,. despite the fact that it's arduous and painful.
