The Problem With Evangelicalism

A lot of times evangelicals seek almost to provoke a reaction by doing something that's public facing or outrageous or provocative. And the emphasis is on like taking a public stand in a way that there's sort of an implicit admission that other people will be offended or bothered and then will criticize you. Rather than living your life in a way which is requiring sacrifice, voluntary sacrifice, that is not maybe that might not be fit the category or definition of persecution. But that is the kind of suffering that Christ called his followers to not, you know, see you at the flagpole to pray once a year.
