Fred beck and his friends were attacked by an apparent race of terrifying hominied creatures. The men ran off in such haste that they had to leave almost 200 dollars worth of supplies behind, and three and a half thousand in to day's money. They eventually arrived at the spirit lake ranger station where no sign of anything matching fred's description was found. A few days later he returned with rangers but this time there was no sign of them either.
