The Origins of Chess
I grew up in a city named Port Elizabeth, which is now renamed to Grebere. It wasn't as big or the chess scene isn't as big as larger cities like Cape Town and Johannesburg and Durban. Growing up, I often had to sort of travel in order to play stronger events. Now there would probably be a tournament, one tournament every four, five months, even six months. And I recently moved to a much larger city Cape Town where there are tournaments every month,. And they also have a huge league with a lot of chess clubs and stuff like that.
