The Financial Times of the 60s, 70s and 80s
Deutsche Bank bought the property from JP Morgan in 2000 just ahead of the 9-11 attack which destroyed Deutsche Bank's other offices downtown. But that was the last building fully occupied by a major financial player. All of the other ones, and this is where I got my notes out, began moving in the already in the 60s and 70s. And basically the financial firms of Wall Street one by one, all of them Lehman, Basternes all move away from Wall Street's locations to Midtown or between the 30s and the 50s.
