The Iraq war was one of those moments where maybe the scales fell from our eyes. We started to realize that these wars and incursions were almost always being held on behalf of exploitative operations. They were always being held in order to open up new markets to gain access to new resources. And meanwhile, the story that we were being told, whether it was weapons of mass destruction or some sort of hitlerian madman, were simply mythologies That were going ahead and preparing us to accept a brutal and often unlawful war.
