The Importance of Belief
belief as our quintessential religious posture excuses us from the unbearable anxiety of the christ command to love the enemy as theyself not just the neighbor but the enemy how because if we make belief the measure then immediately all the people in the world divide into those who believe as i do. They don't pose an anxiety to me because i know they have the same beliefs as me so it holds out at least the hope that if everybody's kind of faithful enough to the belief their faith faithful to faith then i am reassured and I can write them off.
