"I was a consultant for most of my career, which meant that I was called in on projects that were already behind schedule and over budget," she says. "So I started to see patterns like, hey, every project does this, even though they're completely different" She recommends writing down what people are doing wrong or finding out how to do it better so you don't have to go through the process yourself.

Nicole van der Hoeven is a YouTuber, developer advocate for k6, and Dungeons and Dragons lover. For the last five months, she has organized her life inside of task and knowledge management app Obsidian. We discuss how she uses Obsidian for her YouTube creation, Dungeons and Dragons playing, friendships, and consulting. We talk about how many second-brainers overcomplicate their systems. All it is is taking notes.
