The Dunning-Kruger Effect

Psychologically, we just like to think of ourselves. We are all at the lower part of the Dunning-Kruger curve for things we don't know a lot about. People who knew less thought they knew more than people who knew more. The degree to which you overestimate your ability increases as your knowledge decreases.
