Catherine Rich launches campaign titled The Domino Effect to get the government to listen and take action. Health officials think that the aged care sector is clearly hiding their money somewhere, but I've met providers who have not drawn a wage for themselves for two years or are thinking of closure. We'd like the government and any other political leader to think about this and to make sure it's included in their manifestos. But the domino effect is really to remind everybody that it's not just older New Zealanders that affects everybody because it means waiting lists for hospitals,. emergency department disasters, and just not being able to get the care. Just because public hospitals could start to look like race times.
