The Dangers of Alcoholism
The danger is making alcohol a forbidden fruit or a symbol of rebellion. In Italy where there is no legal drinking age, the alcoholism rate is 0.5%. Wine is on the table of an Italian family every day. And they learn to drink it responsibly and they don't have high mortalities on the highways. When you see public drunkenness, it's never an Italian. Nine times out of ten, it's an American and then the tenth one is a German.
