The Duality of Thinking in Social Discourse
Andrew asks, what do you think causes the duality of thinking that expresses itself so often in societal discourse? For example, self esteem is new age nonsense or self esteem is an inalienable right. And it is, I'm ran off and talks about that there are false dichotomies. But a dichotomy is a easy way of thinking. It's like there's two possibilities. Often, if the attack on the subjectivism is wrong, this can't be right. And so the other must be right. That is usually not true.
