The Impact of Obituaries on the Media
Time and who else died on that day or that week is probably more of a factor than you might want to admit when you're thinking about whether or not you're worthy of an obit. I'm very keen to look at all these things as media stories and so I think this Reagan one actually comes at an interesting time in 2004 where the media environment is fracturing, Jacob says. There really has been a rise in the last 10 to 15 years of these personal tributes right at a remembrance that is written by somebody who knew the person but like a lot of good journalism you know if you're a good enough writer and you're curious enough for more than you can you can.
