What's the Treasury Doing?
Last year, the treasury commissioned lord age to look into what was being termed as a kind of quantum shift in the relationship between the public and out door access. The sedentary life styles that we lead, i think cost, it's estimated abyt eight point two billion pounds a year to the taxpayer. That we have a mental health crisis in this country that in part is rooted in our alienation and disconnection from the world around us. And so for all those reasons, the treasury was interested in financial er savings that could be brought about to taxpa s by opening access and improving our connection theotdoors.
