The fog and friction of war is very real. On the Russian side, you have really only a small percentage of those units that are fully combat capable. I would say that there are some elements of the Russian airborne forces that still retain this sort of esprit decor and fighting capacity. Those were the ones that were evacuated from Harsan last fall when they evacuated across the river. That's that group. There are army units which are mostly okay, maybe down in Zabirija, more south towards Crimea that never saw that kind of intense fighting in the early days like the units from Kiev and Karkiv did.
