Jung's Analysis of Dreams Without Chemical Symbolism

Jung points out this Eroboros association within the text in a footnote reference to an alchemical artwork included in the book from a treatise called Pandora from 1588. It's clear that the snake circling the dreamer describes the ancient symbol of the EroborOS, the serpent that bites its own tail and represents the eternal balance of creation and destruction which forms our physical reality. Jung: Have you ever had any dreams without chemical symbolism? I would bet you have. The challenge of course is recalling them, that's where a dreamjourner comes in handy because if you don't attempt to transcribe a dream it will disappear as swiftly as it came.
