Why Do You Have to Over Hire Reps?

SaaS companies tend to over hire reps because they grossly overestimate what the demand is. The more, the bigger the pool of quota capacity that you can allocate to any accounts, the better. It may not mean that you need fewer reps because you may have a different type of rep for each account. And so until you get that allocated out appropriately and you don't really know what the answer is, whether you're over hired or under hired, it's hard to tell.
