The Gender Divide in Hasidic Education

Hasidic girls are educated to be good housewives and mothers. But they also follow the national curriculum of secular education. Most Hasidic girls will do the GCSEs, but it will be censored. They'll take out bits about evolution and Big Bang theory or anything mentioning years greater than 6,000. It's very intense study from a very young age. The vast majority of it is religious texts. So we're talking the Torah, the Hebrew Bible. We are talking about Talmud, which is an incredibly extensive body of work. I'm not a student of scripture, so it's been a long time since the ready.
