An hour and a half in and we haven't got out of the distal convole tubule. This is absurd. We're gong to skip the connecting segment. Nobody, nobody, cane. Nobody even mention itot doing the connecting segment,. ok, principal cells. The sodium reabsorption here is not driven by the sodium concentration, but by the negative charge that's generated by moving three sodium out and two potassium ins. You get this negative charge inside the cell, which is the electrical gradient that drives sodium re absorption. And i thought this was something i hd never thought about, i was when i always taught. I used to tok ots an electrical chemical gradient
