I think India wouldn't call itself a major power, let's call it a leading power. But we know structurally India is potentially emerging as a poll in the international system. It's got pretty advanced technologies and a science and technology base, an immense talent pool. The ruling party today's been dominating the center for the last nine years actually just lost a major state election. So that doesn't happen in autocratic states right? I think there are sort of democratic elements to their electoral system where India really is slipping.
