Gabapentin and Older Adults

Study looked at whether or not the routine use of gabapentin after major surgery and older adults cause us harm. They found that overall, there's about a 30% increase in delirium rates in patients who were getting gabapenton after surgery. There was also very small, but statistically significant increases in antipsychotic use and increased rates of pneumonia in the same population.
