You Don't Have to Borrow Someone's Authority to Speak
I get frustrated when I read people's, somebody's writing a memoir and all they do is quote other people. Stop quoting Barbara Brown Taylor. She's not the pastor of this congregation. No, you have something there that, that, that jurors to offer. And if I had interns at House for All Saints and Saints, I would always go over their sermon manuscript with them before they preached. You don't have to borrow someone else's authority to speak. But what I learned from you in that time was that I can tell the story of what I learn from somebody else's story. It's pastoral and it's, it's personal.
