Foucault's De-Subjecticating
In the original text that I covered last week, Foucault's very clear that critique supplants one kind of ordering with another. But as Butler understands it here, it's totally the other way around. It is an issue where critique does not want to just impose another ordering, whereas for Foucault it very much does. We tear down ordering in order to oppose another ordering, and Foucault is very clear about this at the get-go. Now despite the issues presented here, she still is very much interprets this text, acceptably, but not to its full capacity.
