An Anglo-Saxon History of the Vikings

Vikings are the dominant force in northern Europe and their influence is spreading. 50 years after Lindisfarne a horde of maybe 2,000 Vikings arrive in East Anglia. On the 1st of November 866 they arrive at Jorvik, now known as York. Now Jorvik is ruled by King Ayla, the man who is said to have murdered his father. Some say Ayla threw the Viking to his death in a pit of poisonous snakes. Today, Ayla wants revenge, and the only thing that will settle this blood dead is Ayla's kingdom.
