The Truth About Sexual Purity in Relationships
In high school I was very much indoctrinated into the purity culture and within that I was made very aware of how important sexual purity was. When I was dating a guy in our church community I actually had to sign a pledge of rules and agree to go on some sort of premarital counseling journey with him at the age of 16. Now what ended up happening is me and this guy we ended up slipping up physically in our relationship and we crossed boundaries. We didn't really know why our limit should be our limit. The shame ate away at us for years and years and years on end.
