You argue that we need to desacralize not only Marx within the socialist tradition, but the works of Marx proper. This reminds me of Gramsci when he describes the Russian Revolution as a revolution against Das Capital. And in many ways, Gramsci is closer to that, but he also sees some of the dangers of that.
