When it started in the cinema, I did not. It was the thing I liked. The main debate was what the fuck are we doing with our lives? And the second one was, is it all just a fucking dream? Was it all in them, though? That's what stumped us. So Nolan had made the Dark Knight at this point, right? Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, huge cinematic thing. He'd proven that his stewardship of the Batman universe was the best damn thing to happen since the invention of... Yeah, he ruined Batman. Forever.
