The Assyrian Empire and Nationalism
Nationalism in competing nationalism were a big issue in war. There is this intimate connection with one's understanding of nationality and the particular worship of a patron deity that was associated with that. You could view t the mosity between pakestan and india as two competing religious nationalisms. And i feel like that spiritual element is something that is often neglected, and that, for at least people of faith, that something that we should believe in.
