What Is the Origin of a Tumbler?

Tumbler started out as a publishing platform for tumble logs. It was not until probably maybe six months in before there was any social or following component, whatever it was. And and the social stuff was always kind of th this additional layer behind the scenes. That's why theye was always at that divide betwen k your public tumble log and then the dashboard that held all the social stuff on it.
