The Stoicism of Resignation Is Not a Philosophy of Resignation

I get so angry when people say stoicism is about resignation. Like this is a guy who his sense of stoic duty repeatedly sends him into the breach over and over and over againm kind o do one wot washington story, of course. We need to bring the stories. Instead of just talking about how thomas jefferson was a hypocrite for owning slaves, we should talk about how washington was the only founder who gave up his slaves.
