I think we all are not too obsessed with originality I'm now talking really about artistic words. If you look very carefully at the artists who are deemed to be most original they're drawing together all sorts of disparate sources and information. Lin-Manuel Miranda here is this great burst of originality which we haven't seen anything like before there are so many elements which are deeply unoriginal in his musical Hamilton. He's taking very very traditional elements of musical theatre then he's combining them with other elements hip-hop and rap and a big fat biography of a obscure founding father and bringing them together because nobody else had those components in their mind together.
