MoviePass's Invalidation of Passwords

A Federal Trade Commission complaint released yesterday described some of the actions that MoviePass took to stop its customers from seeing movies. The idea was, hey, if we get enough people signed up, we can harvest their data and serve them ads and stuff like that. For the money that we're losing, paying like 12 to 15 bucks for every single time you go see a movie, right? Yeah, we're a loss leader. How many people could there possibly be that would want to see more than one movie a month? It's preposterous.
