The Disorientation of Social Systems
I see that we are facing in the next 20, 30, 40 years increasing destabilization of social systems. Under those conditions, as we talked before, under those conditions most people who are identified with a separateness which they feel very little and very vulnerable. That contraction leads to increases in prejudice, increases in bigotry and ultimately increases in violence in order to preserve the security of the familiar. And I could see this period we are going through, which may lead to really a realignment of economic forces and social forces and political upheaval.
