The Samaritan Penticuk

The samaritans are a small and depressed community, a few hundred strong. They claim to be the descendants of the judeans left behind when most were carried off to babylon in the deportation. The jews have rejected that claim since the time they returned from babylon and have shunned the samaritans ever since. Their version differs in many respects from both the maseretic text and the septuagent. As will see later, the ethiopian bible did the world a favor by preserving jubilees and enoch in their entirety.
