The NHS, as everyone listening will have noticed, is 75 years old this week. By an accident of timing, the anniversary arrives and we're witnessing the most troubled point for the NHS since the 1980s. We are in the wake of the pandemic and in the midst of continuing austerity. For a lot of people, it's not clear whether the NHS is going to be there for us or whether we're going to need to go private.
