The Challenges of Industrial-Scale Autonomy
All forms of autonomous systems, whether they be ships or buses or trucks in a mine or something else, have some form of sensitive capability. The key thing about trying to do autonomy in robots is that good example, either the robots that work in warehouses and mines are a great place to start. I think what we're going to see more and more is the movement towards teleoperation,. Some of the people will actually not be on board. They will be on shore, somewhere else, remote, able to intervene at a moment's notice.
