Is There a Development of a Two-Tierred Banking System?
There's a two tiered banking system. You have the big boys who are too big to fail, right? Right. There's no question that there's Systemically Important Banks (G SIBs) Having a deposit in one of those banks could be viewed by depositors as more safe than holding a similar size deposit in a community bank or even a Silicon Valley bank. Well, it creates a terrible incentive structure where, you know, as you have a run on the mid and smaller banks, which are crony and scummy and shitty, they benefit tremendously. Like money pours out of the small and medium-sized banks, all like they flood back into the large banks.
