The upper limit of hypertrophy may be constrained to some degree by the number of muscle fibres you're born with. Some people do kind of seem to hit a hard limit, and some people seem to kind of shift to a more gradual phase of growth. Could that be due to different pro propensities towards hyperplasia? There might be inherent differences in how efficiently hyper plasia occurs in humans as well. And like, basically every animal except for humans.
