The Future of Open Telemetry?

Open telemetry is a work in progress, but also stable to a certain point. Where we are right now is a tracing specification is stable. The next thing after that is logs. And the two groups have really identified a new signal, which we're preliminarily calling an event. It's something like a log, but it's a little bit different.
