How to Balance Weight and Pattern for Fishing

If I know it's going to be low and clear, I kind of plan to be on the water very, very early. And in addition to, you know, picking the right light conditions, think back to the areas that you normally can't ever touch the bottom of when you're trying to fish it Normally. Don't go for the stuff that's expected to be calf deep still because you'll find fish holding there. Two days ago we had a tiny bit of rain which didn't stop us from nimping. The next day, almost the same area, upstream, was nearly sunny. We were like, "Go away son, go away"
