The Yule Goat
The yule goat was another delightful surprise. According to norse mythology, thor, the god of thunder, had a sleigh that was pulled across the sky by two goat bucks, or male goats. Eventually, the yule goats evolved into a combination of santa claus, father christmas and the yule goat - who would bring gifts and drive a sleigh pulled by reindeer, not actual goats.
