Playing With Balls!

Researchers put 45 bees into a tiny bee-sized arena with a clear path leading to a feeding area full of food. On the other side of this path, there were a bunch of colorful wooden balls. The researchers gave the bees two choices: They could either stay the course on the path or they could get off course and play with the balls. One bee played with the balls 117 times over the course of the 18-day study!
