The Death of a Man
The vicar says he's almost sure he's never seen him before. The dying man's eyes open and he stares into Bunch's face saying, please, please. And then he dies - which I think shows some real restraint on Christy's part. By this point, a Mr. and Mrs. Equals have phoned the station to say that the man in question was Mrs equals's brother, William Sanborn. So it seems that poor William Sanborn died by suicide. Why would he choose to leave London, come all the way out to Chipping Clay Corn and die there?
