Schlegel points to the fact that this ability for free play and creativity while not actually exercised by most people, it's something that binds. And so essentially the mechanism for liberation in that sense or for elevation of the self is possible. This is part of what motivates his project. He thinks as long as people are flailing around trying to exercise their creativity and free play and generating a lot of things that in his mind, I guess, suck.
