The first people who came to the great basin forthroughout much of it, were mormons. A utah s can be upward of 60%, in eastern oregon, eastern washington a lot of counties are gong to be like 90%. There's a sort of anti-government sentiment that is more complicated than one might think. Mormonism has adopted this preservationist tendencies across this land.
