Fans of the Clone Wars will know by watching the mortise trilogy and stuff. The arcs with Anakin on mortise were still canon, which means that to me from the beginning even before JJ came into the picture that Anakin is in fact the chosen one. It's been very much established. So for them to put it in a book, like the full prophecy this year in a novel that's canon says something to me.
